The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain said that MQM is the only political party which challenged the status quo and brought youths to the national parliaments.
In an address at the function to celebrate his 61st birthday in London, the MQM Chief said that Karachi’s hospitality was always phenomenal, so it opened it arms for everyone. He also welcomed to PTI Chief Imran Khan and felicitated him in advance for the success of his rally in Karachi.
Mr. Hussain said that MQM rejected hierarchal and corrupt politics and obsolete feudal system and brought new blood to the national politics. He said that his party always countered the conventional status quo in the country and never endorsed elite and privileged classes in the country.
He said that for the reason MQM had to bear designed propagandas from its inception and the so-called intellectuals, journalists and anchorpersons kept propagating against his party. He said that even today, the televising talk-shows conspicuously depicted that there were only two political parties, which talked about the poor and lower-middle class but they never dared to utter the name of MQM.
Mr. Hussain said that some so-called journalists and columnists tried to create a situation like MQM and PTI were dueling for the authority in Karachi, but they never considered my statements regarding PTI and Imran Khan which were the evidence that MQM remained fair with PTI. He said that despite the PTI leaderships’ baseless propaganda against him and various fake accusations, MQM never reacted against PTI.
The MQM Chief categorically stated that MQM never feared of anyone because Karachi was one of the cities of the country, so everyone had right to come and go. He said that the new provinces would be created not only in two or three provinces but all over the country, including Sindh otherwise, no province would be created at all.
He said that MQM never wanted any division in Sindh but the new provinces were the need of the time and even PPP, PTI and PAT also supported creation of new provinces in their agendas. He said that there was another solution that new administrative units can be created without changing the name of the province in Sindh.
Mr. Hussain said that everything could be resolved through dialogues and negotiations and people, who had been deprived of their fundamental rights, could challenge every authority to retain their rights. He said “If Sindh is one and people have no differences than what does quota-system do in the province?”
He said that despite continuous propagandas against MQM, it was still spreading all over the country and secured its mandate even in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. He said MQM soon became the only political party in the country. He also prayed for the IDPs and flood-affected people. The function was emerged as the fundraising programme for the flood victims and IDPs.
