A new wave of targeted killings to ignite violence and bloodshed in Karachi: Altaf Hussain
 Posted on: 9/10/2014
Police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies have failed to stop killings and terrorism
The Founder and Leader of MQM Mr Altaf Hussain has condemned incidents of targeted killings by armed terrorists in Karachi.
“The way people belonging to different sects are being targeted tells us that a conspiracy has been hatched to ignite violence and bloodshed in Karachi. That’s why a new wave of targeted killings has started. They have pushed on the button of killing machine,” Mr. Hussain said.
“Three days ago Ali Akbar Kumaili, who was the son of a prominent scholar Abbas Kumaili, was martyred. Now they have martyred the son-in-law of the head of Jamia Binoria Mufti Naeem Maulana Masood. After these murders a new wave of killings and terrorism has started in the city. In Korangi armed terrorist killed three persons belonging to opposing sect. Armed terrorists killed MQM’s worker Salman Kazmi who was also the co-ordinator of a member of the Co-ordinator Committee when he was having his hair cut in a barber’s shop. In the same way armed terrorists killed Imran Malik who was the brother MQM worker Irfan Malik. In Liaquatabad FC Area terrorists killed the elder brother of an MQM’s worker belonging to Orangi Town Sector.  These ruthless terrorists are killing people belonging to different sects openly and with impunity. Police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies have failed to stop targeted killings and terrorism. If police and rangers cannot protect life and property of people then they should tell people clearly to defend themselves.”
Mr Hussain demanded that the President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Mian Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah should take serious notice of the rising incidents of killings and terrorism and take action against the ruthless terrorists responsible for the killings, and provide protection to people.
Mr Hussain expressed his condolences to the bereaved families of Salman Kazmi and other people killed in different incidents and prayed to Allah to give them eternal peace and strength to the bereaved families to bear losses.
