Exchange of words between the army and the judiciary has plunged the country into unimaginable crisis: Altaf Hussain

All august state institutions must respect each other and work within their frameworks

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the crisis in which the country has been plunged after exchange of words between the army and the judiciary was far from imagination.

Mr Hussain said that he is the only person who had warned in his statements and public addresses, after sensing friction between state institutions, that the country needed stability and unity. In the present circumstances, it would not be advisable to rake differences between the army and the judiciary in public and to complicate the issues that could otherwise be solved easily.

He said that all state institutions must solve their issues and differences through dialogues as the welfare and the good of the country also lies in this. The image of the country should not be tarnished among the civilized countries for satisfying the personal ego and desires of a few individuals.

He said that we should reflect the wishes and aspirations of 180 million people of the country and show complete unity. All august state institutions must respect each other and work within their own framework.

Mr Hussain hoped that both the powerful institutions would pay heed to his submissions and arrive at some positive result.
