Government and Opposition should show political acumen for resolving all issues by starting formal dialogues
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has made a passionate appeal to both the government and the opposition to show political acumen and sagacity in view of the critical situation of the country and refrain from every kind of unconstitutional and illegal step and confrontation. He said that formal dialogues should be started to resolve all issues by mutual understanding and accommodation. He made this appeal in his interview to a private news channel.
Mr Hussain said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Federal Cabinet, Chief Minister of the Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and the Provincial Cabinet to show political acumen after explanations given by PTI chief Imran Khan and PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri.
“The MQM wants that the long-standing demands of Mr Khan and Dr Qadri should be deliberated upon and conflict and confrontation should be avoided at all costs”
“Committee consisting of three to four people should be formed for opening dialogues with Mr Khan and Dr Qadri and efforts should be made to find a way out of the present situation.”
Mr Hussain said that the MQM is ready to offer unconditional support in this regard.
Mr Hussain said that the operation Zarb-e-Azb” was underway in North Waziristan against terrorists and the army was heavily engaged with the militants and heavy firing was being done in the Sialkot Sector by the Indian Army. It is necessary for both the government and the opposition to show caution and extreme seriousness and think about national security and existence by setting aside political interests.
Mr Hussain said that people were shifting their investment to foreign countries because of internal situation prevailing in Pakistan, which has adversely affected the economy of the country. It is the responsibility of both the government and the opposition to save the country and put the country on the path of economic recovery.

Mr Hussain said that the government show large-heartedness and initiate the dialogues, as it was the constitutional responsibility of the government to accept legitimate demands of the opposition and to solve problems being faced by the masses.
Mr Hussain said that both the government and the opposition should show some flexibility in their attitude for starting the dialogue and leading it to a meaningful conclusion.
Mr Hussain warned if the government and the opposition refused to give up their stubbornness and did not avail the opportunity, the results would be detrimental for the country.
Mr Hussain appealed to the owners of medical stores in Lahore to donate medicines at the camp of the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation in Model Town. He also appealed to the doctors and paramedical staff to spare some time for the participants of the Youm-e-Shuhada.
