Feudalism, Pakistan can’t prevail together: Altaf Hussain

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that the Palestinian misery came due to the silence of Muslim countries, Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) and United Nations and suggested Pakistan to leave OIC membership if it remained sterile.
Talking on the occasion of the distribution of annual donations program by Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) at Expo Centre Karachi, MQM Chief addressed to the federal and provincial governments that if they wanted to maintain country’s integrity then they have to eliminate obsolete feudal system, and schools and seminaries which are propagating religious extremism, which are propagating religious extremism, should also be closed.
People from all walks of life, including leaders of various political parties, social activists, religious heads, traders, industrialists, actors, journalists and beneficiaries attended the program, while MQM leaders and workers were also present on the occasion. Millions of rupees donations were distributed in the program.
MQM Chief informed the gathering that his party has been doing social welfare works since its inception and it served people without any discriminations of racial, social, religious, sectarian and any other prejudices. He said that the Khidmat-e-Khalq Committee emerged itself to Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation in 1998 to start social welfare works as a separate organization.
He said that despite the various hurdles, including lack of resources and inadequate funding to carry out the welfare works, it kept struggling to provide quality education, provision of modern health facilities, free ambulance service and funeral bus service. He said under KKF the donations of billions of rupees have been distributed in the last 35 years.
Altaf Hussain said that Pakistan came into being on 27th Ramazan and tonight is also the same day of the holy month and prayed for the country’s prosperity and development. He prayed Almighty Allah to make Pakistan according to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and eliminate all the problems, corruption and political and social evils.
He said that the country was needed actual leadership to take bold steps to settle the chronic problems. He said that there should be twelve to sixteen administrative units without indulging in the differences to name them. He prayed to Almighty Allah to confer the nation to a leader like Mustafa Kamal Ataturk.
MQM Chief said that Pakistan and feudalism cannot prevail side by side and the obsolete feudal system should be eliminated from all over the country. He said the country needed reforms in every department to maintain its system smoothly. He said to maintain good governance; the education system should be reformed first and equally accessible for every cirtizen.
He said people suffered in the various problems, especially electricity loadshedding, scarcity of drinking water, poverty, famine, inflation and unemployment in addition with law and order situation, scattering peace and targeted-killings of innocent people. He demanded the federal and provincial governments to design solid strategy to coup the terrorism menace.
Altaf Hussain also appealed to the people to make peace-committees to protect their areas, look an eye on the wandering suspects and help themselves to save their lives and belongings. He indicated the monsoon season while the provincial government did not take any notice and no fund was issued to cater any emergency situation.
Meanwhile, Deputy Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation never discriminated anyone due to race, sect or religion. He said like KKF if Pakistan is run with the same spirit then the country would stand itself and would become self–sufficient.
Member of Coordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar said on the occasion that the KKF did not donate people once but kept doing it for the last 35 years. He said that the KKF volunteers successfully managed to fulfill the vision of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and organised a decent program for the needy persons.
