The PPP did not fulfill its promises despite repeated assurances
 News Report
Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has given a three days ultimatum to the Pakistan People Party for accepting the legitimate demands of the MQM. The decision has been taken in a joint meeting of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement was held today in London and Pakistan. It has been decided in the meeting that the MQM would come out of the government and sit on the opposition benches if the legitimate demands were not accepted within three days.
It was noted in the meeting that the MQM had always given full support to the PPP and President Asif Zardari for the continuation and promotion of democracy in the country but the PPP did not accept the legitimate demands of the MQM that chiefly related to public welfare although repeated assurances were given by the PPP. It was also decided in the meeting that the MQM would continue to support good actions of the government for the continuity of democracy even after sitting on the opposition benches. The MQM would, nevertheless, oppose all the anti-people actions of the government and inform the public about them.
It was noted in the meeting that the tolerance shown by the MQM was misconstrued as weakness by the PPP leaders and they had been reneging on their promises despite giving firm assurances.
The Co-ordination Committee said that it wanted to inform its voters and haq parast people that the MQM may not be able to move ahead with the PPP further in the present circumstances. It asked the office-bearers, workers and the haq parast people to wait for the future line of action and remain united. It also asked them to be ready to offer any sacrifice like past.
The Co-ordination Committee has sent its unanimous decision to MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain for his endorsement.
