Such acts negate the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has deplored the burning of a Church in Mardan on Friday on the occasion of Youm-i-Ishq-i-Rasool by some miscreants. He said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has taught us to respect all the prophets and the revealed books. He has preached peace and tolerance and asked us to respect the places of worship of other religions.
Mr Hussain said that the burning of the Church in Mardan and damaging of public and private properties under the name of expressing love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was highly condemnable and negated the teachingss of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Mr Hussain said that the Christian community had also protested against the sacrilegious film along with their Muslims brethrern and the extremist elements who had set the Churn on fire had hurt their sentiments.
Mr Hussain asked as to what would happen if the non-Muslims would also start burning mosques in their countries. He askd if we are not tempting others to bring harm to our mosques.
Mr Hussain demaded that the elements involved in burning the Church should be arrested and said that full security should be provided to the places of worship of non-Muslims.
