PPO is a black law. I reluctantly support it for the elimination of terrorism from the country: Altaf Hussain

People are witness I raised my voice over the growing influence of Taliban and warned that it could pose a serious threat for us
The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that PPO is black law. He added that he was personally against this law, but he has reluctantly supported it for the elimination of terrorism from the country, which is a great cause.
He said that this law should be abolished after the completion of operation against terrorists.
He said that a change was inevitable in the country and people from the poor and middle class would rule this country. He added that he would support anyone who work for the elimination of feudal system, unchecked capitalism and empowerment of the poor, middle class and deprived people.
He expressed these views while addressing journalists, editors and anchor persons, reporters and office bearers of different organizations for journalists at the Karachi Press Club.
“Two days ago former DG of ISPR Azhar Abbas expressed his views about the delay of army operation in North Waziristan. He said an operation had been planned but was delayed. He said that we would not have suffered such a great loss if the operation was carried earlier. Gen Azhar Abbas is right. People are witnessed I raised my voice over the growing influence of Taliban and warned that it could pose a serious threat for us. It is spreading in Karachi. There are areas in Karachi where rangers cannot go. I demanded operation in those areas. Delay in operation in those areas could hurt the country, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“People hold me up to ridicule when I talked about the growing influence of Taliban. They said I am causing fear. They denied that Talibanization is happening. Even the ruling party’s leaders and a chief minister denied Talibanization. A rival party said that I am talking about operation against Pakhtoon. They turned Pakhtoons against me. The party which said I was against Pakhtoons was targeted by Talibans when they established strongholds in different parts of Karachi and captured their offices. Karachi’s Pakhtoons have realized the danger and a large number of them are with MQM. We will hold a gathering of Pakhtoons to show whom they support now, “ Mr. Hussain said
Mr. Hussain said that operation against terrorists was started after a delay. He added that he was happy over the commencement of Operation ‘ZarbeAzb’.
“Officers and jawans of armed forces of Pakistan are rendering supreme sacrifices. We supported Swat operation. We support this operation. People from all walks of life should support the armed forces in their fight against terrorists. I pray for the success of operation Elimination of terrorism from Pakistan and sectarian strife, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“The war against terrorists has not been started for America. It is our war. It has been launched to save Pakistan. America, India and Afghanistan have been saying that Pakistan should take action against terrorists.  Now Pakistan has taken action against terrorists. These countries should support Pakistan. Pakistan supported the west and American during cold war. These countries are  in peace after the end of cold war, but Pakistan is suffering because of its support to these countries, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Mr. Hussain said that MQM wanted stability and peace in the country. He added that’s why MQM staged peaceful protests on the martyrdom of its member of National Assembly because we did not want to affect the ongoing army operation against terrorists.
