Police department should be reinforced on scientific lines for curbing terrorism
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has urged upon the federal and provincial governments to take effective steps for eliminating terrorism. He said this while talking to Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Abbas, and IGP Sindh Fayyaz Leghari at the Governor House. Talking to the officials, he said that the police and security forces must organize on scientific lines in order to containing terrorism and protecting the lives of the people.
Expressing sorrow on the unavailability of resources in the police department, he asked President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and federal and provincial governments to equip the police department with latest weapons, vehicles and other necessary resources. He said that special funds should be released for furnishing the police department with modern technologies.
Governor Sindh Dr Ebad, Chief Secretary Raja Abbas and IGP Fayyaz Leghari assured Mr Hussain that they would utilize every possible means for containing terrorism and protecting the lives of the people.
