The consignment contains ration for two months for each family
The second consignment of relief goods, worth several hundred thousand rupees, has been sent for the affected families of the Baldia Town tragedy on three trucks by the Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation of the MQM. The KKF has started relief activities for the affected families on the special instructions of Mr Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of the MQM. The trucks were sent in the presence of Deputy Conveners Dr Farooq Sattar, Mrs Nasreen Jalil, and members of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Wasay Jalil, Kunwar Khalid Yunus, and Aftakhar Akbar Randhawa.
The consignment contains ration for two months for each family affected by the tragedy. The ration contains flour, rice, pulses, edible oil, tea, powdered milk, and other commodities of household use. The relief goods of the first consignment, sent by the KKF earlier, were distributed among the affected families by the MQM MNAs and MPAs in Baldia Town, Qasba Aligarh, and Orangi Town.
In Baldia Town, the relief goods were distributed by provincial minister Abdul Haseeb and MPA Hanif Shaikh. In Orangi Town, the relief goods were distributed among the families of the victims by MNA Abdul Qadir Khanzada, provincial minister Shaikh Muhammad Afzal, and MPA Saifuddin Khalid. In Qasba Aligarh MPA Mazahir Ameer distributed the relief good among the affected families.
The MQM MNAs and MPAs also expressed sympathies to the grieving families and prayed for the deceased factory workers. They also prayed for the health and recovery of the injured.
