The 59thBirthday of MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain was observed with simplicity due to Baldia Town tragedy. Fruits and flowers were distributed among patients in different hospitals of the city. Food was sent to the incarcerated workers of the MQM and the graves of the martyred workers were visited.
MQM elected representatives and ministers visited hospitals and inquired after the well being of the patients who had sustained injuries due to horrific fire in the ill-fated Baldia Town factory. They distributed fruits and flowers among the patients and expressed sympathies on behalf of Mr Altaf Hussain.
MNAs Sufyan Yousuf, Shaikh Salahuddin and provincial minister Khalid bin Wilayat visited Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases in Federal B Area and Sindh Government Hospital in Liaquat.
MNAs Sajid Ahmed, Iqbal Muhammad Ali, provincial advisor Khawaja Izharul Hassan and MPA Waseem Ahmed visited children’s hospital in New Karachi while MPAs Shoaib Ibrahim and Tahir Qureshi visited the Civil Hospital. MPA Moeen Khan visited the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Provincial Minister Shaikh Muhammad Afzal visited the Karachi Central Jail with the legal aid committee and met the incarcerated workers of the MQM. They exchanged greetings on the birthday of Mr Hussain. Food, fruit and flowers were distributed among the workers who expressed their resolve to offer any sacrifice in the path of truth and justice.
Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Nusrat Shoukat, member Kunwar Naveed Jamil, Wasay Jalil, Saleem Tajik and Saif Yar Khan visited Paposh Nagar graveyard and Shuhada graveyard in Azizabad. They visited the graves of Nazeer Hussain, Khursheed Begum, parents of Mr Hussain, Nasir Hussain and Arif Hussain, elder brother and nephew of Mr Hussain and the graves of other martyrs of the MQM. They laid floral wreathes and offered fateha.
A delegation of the MQM visited the monument in Jinnah Ground constructed in memory of the martyrs and paid homage to the martyred workers.
