Malik calls on MQM Rabta Committee

President PPP Overseas and former interior minister Rehman Malik visited MQM International Secretariat and met with members of Coordination Committee, including Senior Deputy Convener Nadeem Nusrat.
The former minister expressed his grief over saddened murdered of MQM MNA Tahira Asif in a targeted-killing. He also condoled MQM on behalf of PPP Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He strongly condemned the killing and appreciated the MNA for her bravery.
He offered Dua for the demise of Tahira Asif and prayed Almighty Allah to confer her eternal rest. He also showed his solidarity with Altaf Hussain and his party workers at the saddened time. Members MQM Coordination Committee Tariq Javed, Muhammad Anwar, Mustafa Azizabadi and Qasim Ali Raza, MNA Muhammad Ali Rashid and former MNA Wasim Akhtar also presentin the meeting.
On this occasion talking to media persons, Rahman Malik demanded Supreme Court of Pakistan to take action against this brutal killing of an innocent woman who was also a parliamentarian. He suggested at least two of the Supreme Court Judges should conduct the judicial commission and probe not only the murderers but also their patrons.
He said if Tahira Asif would have been given appropriate security this would have not been happened. He said he knew Altaf Hussain and his party workers had been in a traumatic situation. He said terrorists kept silencing the voices against terrorism and extremism.
Senior Deputy Convener Nadeem Nusrat thanked to PPP Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former interior minister Rehman Malik for being stood at the time of crisis. He said Tahira Asif was murdered because of her struggle against feudal mentality and religious extremism.
