Close your businesses to express solidarity with the families of the martyrs and workers.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement has announced that it will observe ‘a day of mourning’ on Wednesday for the martyrdom of Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran workers, who have died because of police brutality in Lahore.
Rabita Committee has made an appeal to businessmen, industrialists, shop owners and transporters to observe ‘Youm-e-Sog’ to express solidarity with the families of the martyrs and workers. They urged them to close their businesses on Wednesday.
They have also made an appeal to people across the country not to damage private and public properties on the day of mourning and facilitate departments who carry out essential services such as ambulances and fire brigades.
Rabita Committee condemned the police raid on the Secretariat of Minjah-ul-Quran and brutally torturing workers, including female workers. Scores of workers have died as a result of police brutality, including two women workers.
They have demanded that the government should take notice of the raid, police torture and deaths and take action against the perpetrators.
Rabita Committee expressed their heartfelt sympathies with families of martyred workers, Chairman of Minhaj-ul-Quran Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, workers and supporters. They prayed for the martyred workers.
