Rescue efforts should be sped up to recover the missing persons: Altaf Hussain

The disaster managed cells should come out of their offices start practical work.
A joint meeting of Pakistan and London Rabita Committees was held to discuss Karachi attack. Mr. Hussain chaired the joint meeting.
Mr. Husain expressed great sorrow and grief over the Karachi Airport incident. He said in his address that rescue efforts should be sped up to recover the missing persons. He added that rescuers should leave no stone unturned.
“I proposed the establishment of Disaster Management Cell at the time of the earthquake in Kashmir in 2005. It should be modern and well-equipped cell manned by experienced persons so they help people in better way. They established National and Provincial Disaster Cells. Millions of rupees were allocated to these cells. However, we did not see role any of these cells during natural disasters, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“At a time when we are demanding a countrywide operation against terrorists who are equipped with sophisticated weapons. The roles of the National Disaster and Provincial Cells will be very important during the operation. The disaster managed cells should come out of their offices start practical work, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Mr. Hussain directed MQM Rabita Committee and workers to actively take part in rescue efforts and pay a visit to the injured persons and prepare themselves to tackle emergency.
