The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the suicide blast on Abdara Road in Peshawar near the office of the UN Refugee Agency. Expressing his grief and sorrow on the deaths of several innocent persons in the attack, Mr Hussain said that wave of extremism and suicide attacks was aimed at destabilizing Pakistan. He said that the elements that were killing innocent people in order to weaken Pakistan and bringing a bad name to Islam were enemies of the humanity.
Mr Hussain extended sympathies to the grieving families of the people who lost their lives in the blast and prayed for the good health and speedy recovery of the injured, including women and children. He demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take serious notice of the suicide blast outside the UN office. He called for effective steps for protecting the life and property of the people. He said that practical steps should be taken to foil the conspiracy bring hatched for creating instability in Pakistan.
