 Posted on: 8/30/2012

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday strongly condemned the death of the party’s Landhi Sector worker Mohammad Iqbal at the hands of terrorists.

In a condolence message issued on Thursday, the MQM chief while sympathizing with the members of the deceased worker said that he was equally grieved over the tragedy and urged the workers not to lose their patience over tragic incidence.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the members of the deceased family to bear this irreparable loss.

Meanwhile, MQM Coordination Committee has also condemned the killing of MQM Landhi Sector’s (Unit 80) worker Mohammad Iqbal, son of Mohammad Yaseen.

Terming the incident `a deep conspiracy to destroy the city’s peace’, the Coordination Committee in a statement issued on Thursday said that some elements who are indulging in the killings of innocent MQM workers and sympathizers were, in fact, wanted to destabilize the country by destroying the city’s peace.

At the outset, the Coordination Committee demanded of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take immediate notice of the killing of MQM Landhi Sector’s Mohammad Iqbal and other MQM workers and give exemplary punishment to the culprits involved in such acts of terrorism.

Sympathasing with the members of the bereaved family, the Coordination Committee prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
