Conversation with noted Shia scholar from Gilgit-Baltistan Agha Rahat-ul-Hussaini
Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that it was his foremost effort to stop the killings of innocent people based on religious beliefs and persuasion. He said that he was raising his voice for ending hatred and prejudices, and he would continue to do so without any fear of repercussions. He was talking on the telephone to noted Shia scholar from Gilgit-Baltistan Agha Rahat-ul-Hussaini.
Mr Hussain said that he was against the killings of innocent people due to any reason. The blood of innocent people belonging to a particular community must not be spilled.
Mr Hussain told Agha Rahat that he shared the grief of the innocent people slaughtered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Agha Rahat said that the entire Shia community was thankful to Mr Hussain for the way Mr Hussain had raised a bold and courageous voice against the killings of the Shia people. He said that no one in Pakistan had ever spoken so openly in support of the oppressed people in the entire history of Pakistan.
Agha Rahat also prayed for the good health of Mr Hussain.
