The city has been left at the mercy of criminal elements in a planned manner by the government and the administration
The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has expressed deep concern over the growing incidents of thefts, bank robberies, kidnappings for ransom and other crimes in Karachi and across Pakistan and they will have to come out from their houses to protect themselves.
He expressed these views while addressing a joint session of London and Pakistan Rabita Committees.
“Criminal elements have become hazard and menace to society. It is deplorable that there is no person who can provide protection to life and property of people against these hazards. Allah says in the Surat Ar-Ra`d that He will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Mr. Hussain deplored that the city has been left at the mercy of criminal elements in a planned manner by the government and the administration.
“The growing incidents of kidnapping for ransom, theft, bank robberies and other crimes confirms our concern and anxiety, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“It is the fundamental right of a person to defend his home against threats. Our religion and the United Nations’ Charter also give us this right. It is the primary duty of people to protect themselves by forming Muhalla vigilance committees. I appeal to the people living in DHA, Clifton, KDA Scheme, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and other areas to form Mohalla Vigilance Committees for the protection of their kids, homes and honour. They will have to come out for action“ Mr. Hussain appealed.
Mr. Hussain expressed his sympathies and condolences with the families of the people who were killed by criminals and prayed for the speedy recovery of the people who were injured by them.
