The government should do something for the rehabilitation of the displaced people: Senator Nasreen Jalil

It is a cause of concern for us that the government has no clear policy or strategy to deal with the situation
Senator Nasreen Jalil has written a letter to the prime minister in which she has raised five important points. She has tried to draw prime minister’s attention towards the plight of the people who have been displaced because of army action in Waziristan. She said it was the responsibility of the government to do something for the rehabilitation of the displaced people. 
“It is a cause of concern for us that the government has no clear policy or strategy to deal with the situation, “ Senator Nasreen Jalil said.
The senator has proposed that the names of these people should be registered before they move to other cities so they can be identified easily. She added that they should be rehabilitated near their ancestral places. She recommended arrangements for the education of children of the displaced people and vaccination. Their registration records should be properly maintained.
She said that it was difficult to leave ones ancestral homes. She added that government should devise a plan to help them.
