We can eradicate religious extremism by following the teachings of Sufis.
The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that we cannot forget the role of Sufis in the propagation of Islam. He added that we can eradicate religious extremism by following the teachings of these great personalities.
Mr. Hussain expressed these views while talking to workers in Punjab House Lahore. The office bearers informed him about the preparation and arrangement for the ‘Sufi Conference’ and people’s fervor and enthusiasm.
Mr. Hussain said that Baba Bulleh Shah, Sultan Bahu, Waris Shah, Mian Hussain and other Sufis served the humanity through their poetry and propagation of Islam.
He added that MQM wanted to spread the teachings of these Sufis, saints and scholars and the convention would initiate a revolution against injustice.
“MQM is the only party which is practically struggling for women’s rights. The party has raised voice over the crimes against women in Pakistan, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Mr. Hussain praised young men, students, women and workers who are involved in the arrangement of the ‘Sufi Conference’. He made an appeal to people, scholars, journalists, women’s organization and students to participate in the conference on March 9.
