Altaf Hussain says Pakistan faces security threat because of internal and external challenges
The army and people must reach a broad political consensus for tackling terrorism in the country.

The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain hassaid Pakistan faces security threat because of internal and external challenges faced by the country. He warned that the country would be wiped out from the world’s map if the army and people did not reach a broad political consensus for tackling terrorism in the country.
Mr. Hussain expressed these views while addressing a ‘Solidarity Rally’ taken out in support of the armed forces, police and rangers at the Shahra-e-Qaideen. A large number of people from different ethnic groups, sects and religions participated in the rally.
Mr. Hussain thanked and paid tributes to political leadersand workers of political parties who have come to the ‘Solidarity Rally’ to show their support to the armed forces and law enforcement agencies.
“The presence of a large number of people in rally shows that Pakistanis have united to defend their country despite their political differences, “ Mr. Hussain said.
“Three years ago I had warned the people through a press conference about the challenges faced by Pakistan. I had warned about the international conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan after observing the events in the South Asia, theMiddle East and other regions. People mocked at what I had said. They had commented that I have wasted 5 valuable hours of the nation. When I warned the people about the growing influence of Taliban in Karachi, they laughed at me. They said I tried to incite people against Pakhtoons. I have been telling the nation about all these things for the last 35 years. I have become ill. “America used Pakistan and Arab countries against Russians in Afghanistan. They gave funds to our country and secrete agencies. We were exploited in the name of aid and loan. Training centers were opened in different parts of the country to recruit and train jihadis. Now everyone hates us because of the bad policies of our leaders. We are now isolated. Other countries in the world are looking for new alliances to secure their interests. We had created jihadis to wage proxy wars on our behalf and now these Jihadis have turned against us and slaughtering our personnel of armed forces, rangers, FC and police.They are not only killing them but also desecrating their bodies. Taliban terrorists do not accept the constitution of Pakistan. They want to impose their version of Sharia on us. We are Muslims. Talibans have not made us Muslims. Wrong policies of our leaders in the past have created Taliban. We don’t accept their version of sharia which they want to impose by the force of barrels. All the nation is united against the terrorists who are attacking mosques, shrines, and places of worship, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Addressing the armed forces of Pakistan, Mr. Hussain said, “we will support your action against terrorists and every Pakistanis is with you.”
“Give up the idea of proxy wars and sever contact with those people whom you think will become your friendsafter the departure of Americans, “ Mr. Hussain appealed.
