The government should provide security to them so they can live peacefully and freely practice their religions
MQM’s Rabita Committee has expressed condemnation of the threat given to Kailash people and local population Chitral to convert to Islam or face consequences of refusing their demand. Taliban has given them an ultimatum recently.
In a statement issued from Karachi, Rabita Committee said, “ Islam is a religion of peace. Islam does not approve of compelling someone to accept religion. Those people who are trying to convert non-Muslims to Islam by force are hurting the image of Islam by their action. MQM also considers their action un-Islamic and strongly condemns their action. “
Rabita has made a demand to the government to take serious notice of Taliban’s ultimatum to Kailaish people and locals of Chitral and they said the government should provide security to them so they can live peacefully and freely practice their religions. Our constitution grants freedom of religion to minorities.
