Internal and external threats are hovering over national security
Dr Farooq Sattar has said that internal and external threats are hovering over the national security of Pakistan. People belonging to different spheres of life would have to think of the interest of the country by setting aside parochial differences and party politics. He said this while addressing a meeting of all the wings of the MQM in Khursheed Begum Secretariat near Nine Zero.
Deputy Conveners of the Co-ordination Committee Senator Mrs Nasrin Jalil, Mr Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani, office-bearers of different wings, resident committees and council of professionals.
Dr Sattar said that Mr Altaf Hussain shown his political sagacity and foresight by informing the people in a timely manner about the looming threats to the national security and the way through which the country can be saved.
Dr Sattar said that the country could afford the confrontation among institutions hence we have to exhibit unity and solidarity for taking the country out of difficult times.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Qaimkhani asked the office-bearers and public representatives of the MQM to approach religious and political leaders, Ulema, NGOs, anchor persons, media owners in the light of the statements and analysis of Mr Hussain and inform them about the issues regarding national security and survival.
