Attacks on the media house and journalists an attack on the freedom of press.
The Founder and Leader of MQM Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed condemnation of the attack on ARY News office by terrorists in the strongest possible terms. He termed the attack on the media house and journalists an attack on the freedom of press.
In a statement issued from London he said, “ Terrorists have punished media channels Express News TV, AAJ TV and Waqt TV for their honest and unbiased reporting and analysis. The government has done nothing to provide protection to media’s offices and journalists despite terrorist attacks. This has embolden them. Today’s attack on ARY is a result of government’s inaction and  apathy, which is highly condemnable.”
“ Terrorists are trying to intimidate and harass journalists for their honest and unbiased reporting against them. Journalists should unite to fight against terrorists attacks, “ Mr. Hussain said.
Mr. Husssain has made an appeal to the Prime Minister, Federal Interior Minister, Governor and Chief Minister of Sindh to take serious notices of the attacks on media houses and take actions against the terrorists who have carried out these attacks and make arrangements for the security of media houses and journalists
