How did security agencies failed to detect the activities of Ashab Organization?
MQM’s Rabita Committee  has expressed concern at the news report about the presence of Alqaeda affiliated network Ashab in the University of Karachi. They have termed it the failure of law enforcement and security agencies.
In a statement they said, “The disclosure made by three Alqaeda affiliated terrorists from the University of Karachi arrested by law enforcement agencies has revealed who are behind bomb attacks, sectarian violence and killings in Karachi. Who is trying to disturb the peace of the city?.”
“Terrorists have revealed that there are professors who are helping their network.  They have distributed materials in the university. How did security agencies failed to detect the activities of Ashab Organization?  The presence of International terrorists in Karachi has given a bad name to the institution. It has also caused fear among students. We have heard the news about the arrest of terrorists from the hostel room of a Jamiat member in Punjab University. This person was involved in a number of terrorist acts in Punjab, “ Rabita Committee said.
“The arrest of Alqaeda affiliated terrorists from the University of Karachi after Punjab University is a cause of concern. It has revealed that some religious parties in our country have links with the International terrorist organization Alqaeda. These people are involved in killings, bomb blasts and target killings in the city, “ Rabita Committee said.
The Rabita Committee has made a demand to the prime minister, federal interior minister, chief minister Sindh and Governor Sindh to take effective steps for the elimination of terrorist network from universities and arrest terrorists in the light of revelations made by the arrested terrorists.
