Kashmir dispute should be resolved according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people: Altaf Hussain

MQM will continue to raise its voice for the people of Kashmir at all forums

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the Kashmir dispute cannot be resolve without including the people of Kashmir and their leaders in the dialogue process. Expressing complete solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir Mr Hussain said that the MQM would continue to raise its voice for the rights of the Kashmiri people at all forums including the United Nations.
In his message on the occasion of the Kashmir Day observed throughout the country on 5th February each year, Mr Hussain said that the Kashmir belonged to the people of Kashmir and hence any solution for the dispute must include their wishes and aspirations. The Kashmiri people should be given the right to decide their destiny and their basic right of self-determination. No meaningful solution of the Kashmir dispute would be possible by ignoring the people of Kashmir.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM fully supported the historic struggle of the Kashmiri people and it would not accept any solution in which the aspirations of the people of Kashmir were not given due consideration.
