Altaf Hussain expresses grief on the killing of MQM worker Sabir Ali

The Co-ordination Committee terms the killing an attempt to undermine peace in the city

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed his grief and sorrow on the killing of a worker of Unit 74 of MQM Korangi Sector Sabir Ali. In a condolence message, Mr Hussain sympathized with the bereaved family members and said that their grief was shared equally by everyone in the MQM. He prayed Almighty Allah to shower His blessings on the departed soul and give courage and patience to the grieving family members.

The Co-ordination Committee of the MQM also condemned the brutal killing of Sabir Ali at Urdu Chowk in Orangi Town by armed terrorists after subjecting him to severe physical torture and said that it was the part of the conspiracy to undermine peace of the city.  The committee regretted that there was no respite in grenade attacks, demands of extortion and killings despite the fact that a Targeted Operation was going on in the city. Innocent workers of the MQM were being continually gunned down which was worthy of strong condemnation.

The Co-ordination Committee demanded President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and the provincial government of Sindh to take serious notice of the killing of Sabir Ali and bring the killers to justice.

Meanwhile the funeral prayer of Sabir Ali was held in Muhammad Masjid in the ‘F’ Area of Korangi and he was buried in the graveyard situated in Korangi No 6. Members of the Co-ordination Committee Amir Khan and Kehful Wara, MNA Asif Hasnain, MPA Shiraz Wahid and local office-bearers of the MQM attended the funeral.
