Controversy about transfers in police has been raised to divert attention from the murder case: Altaf Hussain
 Posted on: 1/15/2014
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed his concerns on the news circulating in the national media about the differences between the Sindh Government and the Rangers. He said that differences and misunderstandings were developing between the DG Rangers Maj Gen Rizwan Akhter and the Sindh Government on the large-scale transfers in the police department.

Mr Hussain said that a news item was published in a section of the press that the murder of Chaudhry Aslam could be due to the internal disputes between some institutions. He said that instead of investigating the case by extending co-operation to each other, unnecessary controversies were being raised.  Even if internal elements were involved in the killing of Chaudhry Aslam and his colleagues, their faces should have been laid bare before the public.

Mr Hussain said controversy of transfers in the police department was being raised in order to divert public attention from the murder case. He appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif to take serious notice of the dispute between the Rangers and the Sindh Government and asked them to intervene for salvaging the situation.

Mr Hussain asked the colleagues of Chaudhry Aslam and all other sincere police officers to understand and foil the conspiracy to divert attention from the murder of Chaudhry Aslam and other martyred police officers.
