MQM’s Rabita Committee has praised Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry for his boldness over the way he conducted the hearing of the missing persons’ case and his bold judgment. They appealed to him to hear  MQM’s workers missing case immediately and urged him to order  measures for the recovery of workers.
They said the forced disappearances of 28 MQM workers occurred during the June 19, 1992 state operating against MQM. They deplored that the despite of passage of years they had not been able to trace them.
They said MQM’s 34 workers had disappeared during the target operation since August 2013 in Karachi.  They added that some workers were missing since March , 2013. These workers had been arrested by law enforcement agencies and they had not been produced in any court. They deplored these agencies were not willing to tell us why they had been arrested. They said that we had remitted the cases to the court, but we had not received justice yet.
