LONDON: 2ND MAY 2012:
Mr Francis Campbell, Deputy High Commissioner of UK in Karachi, called on the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain in London. The good-will meeting was held in the International Secretariat of the MQM in London.
The meeting between Mr Hussain and Mr Campbell continued for over two and a half hour. Overall political situation of Pakistan, international affairs and other issues of mutual interests were discussed in detail in the meeting. Members of the MQM Co-ordination Committee Mr Tariq Jawed, Mr Saleem Shahzad, Mr Asif Siddiqui, Mr Wasay Jalil, Mr Mustafa Azizabadi and Mr Qasim Ali Raza were also present during the meeting.
DELEGATION FROM CENTRE OF JOURNALISTS GERMANY VISITS NINE ZERO
KARACHI: 2ND MAY 2012:
A delegation from the Centre of Journalists Germany (DPV) visited MQM Head Office Nine Zero and held meeting with Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Senator Mrs Nasrin Jalil. The German delegation was led by Dr Erentraud Homberg. Other members of the delegation included Mr Manfred Hettiage, Mr Ron Giger, Mr Kurt Seinitz and Mr Sham Ul-Haq Qudoos.
Member of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Kunwar Khalid Yunus, Senator Mustafa Kamal and Provincial Ministers Mr Khalid bin Wilayat, and Ms Nadia Gabol were also present on the occasion.
Members of the delegation showed keen interest in the working of the MQM and praised its welfare activities. They also presented a shield to Senator Mrs Jalil from the DPV as a token of their visit.
Earlier the delegation visited the SUN Academy, Nazeer Hussain Hospital and Nazeer Hussain University. Members of the delegation praised the establishment of Nazeer Hussain University and offered collaboration through German Universities in the field of media sciences.
The visiting German journalists were presented the books “Pictorial Biography of Altaf Hussain” and “My Life’s Journey”.
