Altaf Hussain criticizes government over unexpected petrol price increase

Altaf Hussain criticizes government over unexpected petrol price increase

The government of Pakistan has shocked everyone by suddenly raising fuel prices. I am very critical of this decision. I urge that this fuel price increase be canceled right away. The wealthy leaders should take on this burden, not common people. It has been said that fuel prices have gone up because the Strait of Hormuz is closed. However, the wealthy leaders in #Pakistan, who are using this situation as a reason to raise fuel prices, need to realize that if the #straitofhormouz being closed is an issue, they are partly to blame for it. Instead of backing the U.S. in its conflict with Iran, why didn’t Pakistan’s leaders try to prevent the U.S. from attacking? If Iran had not been targeted, the Strait of Hormuz would still be open. The rich leaders should not place the financial burden on the public by increasing fuel prices; they should sell off their own properties and add the funds to the national budget. Those in power who have imposed this fuel increase shamelessly approach world leaders and suggest that should receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
