Passage of 27th Constitutional Amendment is in pipeline as escalated efforts are being made. #26thConstitutionalAmendments Through the 27th amendment, the control over the country will be beefed up further to change its overall structure from top to bottom. It might happen that under certain circumstances, the passage might take a turn and the 27th Amendment might be dropped. However, it looks that there would be zero hindrances ahead to the passage of the 27th amendment like that of the 26th Amendment. Subsequently, the coming years will be more difficult for the people, and #Pakistan will suffer great harm from this amendment. Considering the past and present situation regarding the lack of justice in Pakistan, I can say that from the lower courts to the high courts, and from the high courts to the Supreme Court, all the courts have failed to deliver justice to the people. In fact, these very courts continue to violate the law repeatedly. Looking at the current state of the judiciary, I ask: where should the people go now to end the injustices done to them? From whom should they seek justice? Prof. Dr Hassan Zafar Arif, Deputy Convener of the MQM, was arrested, tortured, and imprisoned. When he was released on bail, he was abducted again, threatened, and later, on January 13, 2018, he was kidnapped from the Defence area while returning home, brutally tortured, and murdered. His body was thrown in the coastal area of Rehri Goth. Similarly, another senior leader, Aftab Baqai, was arrested twice, mentally and physically tortured, his condition deteriorated, and he passed away recently as a result. On September 16, 2025, MQM Coordination Committee members Nisar Panhwar and Anwar Khan Tareen were abducted on their way to attend a ceremony. Their enforced disappearance was reported to the police, and a petition was filed in the Sindh High Court. However, the court gave a one-month-long adjournment, and then another after that, simply delaying the matter. This clearly shows that even the judges themselves continue to openly violate the law. Another recent example is that of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi, a tribal youth from a middle-class background. Obstacles were placed in his way to becoming Chief Minister, but he was eventually elected. He repeatedly went to Adiala Jail to meet his leader Imran Khan but was not allowed to meet him. He filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court requesting permission for the meeting. The court issued a clear order to the jail superintendent to allow the meeting between Sohail Afridi, , and the lawyers, but despite this court order, the meeting was still not allowed. What does this mean? Has the existence of courts in Pakistan become meaningless? Can such a country still be called one that possesses a judicial system? The current judicial system has completely collapsed. The judges have now become like a lion whose teeth and claws have been pulled out and who is left starving and thirsty, unable even to hunt for its survival. In the same way, the judges in Pakistan have been stripped of their power, their minds paralyzed, their pens taken away, and the scales of justice removed from before them. In such a situation, crying for justice before them is like playing a flute before a buffalo. How then will the people of Pakistan ever get justice? The chairman Imran Khan, has been imprisoned for two years, yet PTI leaders, instead of adopting a clear course of action, are merely playing the game of courts and hearings. How long will they keep doing this? A country whose people are denied justice always faces threats to its security and survival. If the people of Pakistan wish to see their country safe and enduring, they must now step into the practical field and be ready to sacrifice for justice, because no destination is ever achieved without sacrifice.
