MQM CCC DEMANDS KARACHI INTER BOARD RESULTS BE DECLARED NULL AND VOID

LONDON. [UK]. January 4: The Central Coordination Committee (CCC) of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has demanded that the results of the Karachi Inter Board (Board of Intermediate Education Karachi - BIEK) be immediately declared null and void and that the educational massacre of Karachi's students be stopped.

In a statement issued from MQM's International Secretariat in London, the CCC highlighted that favouritism and a blatant disregard for merit were evident in the results of the Karachi and Larkana students.

According to the committee, the Pakistan People's Party's (PPP) racist government has systematically targeted Karachi students by appointing biased chairpersons to the boards. This has led to discriminatory practices in the BIEK results.

The CCC pointed out that while Karachi's students performed exceptionally well in their matriculation exams, securing 80-90% marks, their performance was unfairly downgraded in the intermediate results. For instance, 66% of pre-medical students, 74% of pre-engineering students, and 70% of regular arts students in Karachi were declared failed. In contrast, students from Larkana were awarded 70-80% marks. This, the CCC stated, is a clear example of the murder of merit and deserves the strongest condemnation.

It described this injustice as a continuation of the PPP's long-standing racist and anti-Karachi policies.

It alleged that the PPP's feudal mindset is conspiring to deprive Karachi students of higher education and employment opportunities by sabotaging their academic future.

It noted that the biased actions have left talented students and their parents in deep distress and mental agony, forcing them to protest against this injustice.

The CCC appealed to all political and religious parties to raise their voices against the discrimination faced by Karachi students and to condemn the PPP’s racist policies.

The CCC demanded the immediate annulment of the 2024 Karachi Inter Board results and called for disciplinary action against those responsible for targeting Karachi students.

It further emphasised that the educational massacre of Karachi students must come to an end, and merit should be upheld.
