My  APPEAL to the UN Secretary General
to save the life of MQM worker Muhammad Kamran.
Dear Secretary General,
I am writing to draw your kind attention towards the ongoing blatant human rights violations against Mohajir nation that includes enforced disappearances, extra judicial killings of the Mohajirs who belong to my party MQM (not MQM-P), to the extent family members have not been spared.
The purpose of writing this letter to you, is to bring to your kind attention the enforced disappearance of one of my partyactivists, Mr Muhammad Kamran who was abducted by the para military Rangers on 9th December 2024 from Azizabad, a central area of Karachi when he visited to homage the tribute to martyrs on the occasion of “Martyrs Day” which was annually observed to honor over 25,000 MQM martyrswho were extra judicially killed by the army, ISI and other law enforcement forces.
After the illegal abduction on December 9, 2024, Muhammad Kamran is still not presented before any court of law and his whereabout is still unknown. His family and us, we all fare for his life. An urgent habeas corpus petition No. 6232/2024 has been already submitted in the Sindh High Court of Pakistan. My legal team has informed the Working Group on Enforced and Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID), the same communication form is attached for your reference.
Therefore; I deemed it necessary to inform you about the illegal actions of Pakistan’s military, ISI is taking against all those who are criticize and expose their brutalities against the civilian population. I humbly request you to raise it with the government of Pakistan and seek clarification as to why my millions of followers are not allowed to freely associate themselves with their chosen political party; in doing so they are denying them the right to associate themselves to their chosen party, we are and will keep continuing to inform the relevant UN bodies of these atrocities.
I would request that you take this matter up with the representatives of Pakistan for early and safe recovery of Muhammad Kamran and seek clarification into these violations being persistently carried out, if you require any further information, I will be more than happy to assist, I trust that your enquiries will ensure that human rights are afforded to each and every citizen of Pakistan, including the Mohajirs.
