PIVITAL ROLE OF WOMEN IN SOCIETY AND DISCRIMINATION AGAINST THEM
The discrimination against the fair sex is present everywhere in the world despite huge legislations. To me, this is a serious crime and must end now. Though the women contribute to every field but they are absolutely marginalised, harassed, less paid and so on. There are heaps of complaints that pertain to the women. In male dominated societies particularly in Asia Subcontinant, from factories to armed forces, from houses to playgrounds, they are given no due respect or importance despite their equal performances as compared to the men. The women with exceptional performances should evaluate the decayed and rotten political culture of #Pakistan. It is very unfortunate that Pakistan is under the heavy influence of the sly cabal of big land owners, capitalists and powerful elite in military establishment. They suck up the resources and mint money through illicit means and this hasn't changed since past 75 years. In male dominated society of ours, women are treated as inferior creatures and are supposed to fulfill the needs of the men. In rural areas and in tribal belts, their right to vote and actively participate in politics and for fair and strong democracy is forbidden. Women are also taken as sex slaves in many illiterate societies, too. Acid-burnt faces and bodies of women by men make no news in Pakistan and the prosecution pa es ways for the easy acquittal of the accused. The murders of women for honour or just to usurp their share from property and agricultural lands is widespread across tribal and religiously dominated parts in the country particularly in #Sindh and #KhyberPakhtoonkhwa
The worst of all the menaces is prevailing in the country which is known as the "#Honour Killings." To defeat this culture of discrimination, women should commence with initial measures that could acquire a bit of the courage. They should start their struggle to bring a revolutionary change in them and once they feel the glimpses of the change, they must bring other #Womens in the loop. Of course, this will invite a lot of challenges. They must join those who want to give them the equal status and respect and want to eliminate the system that impedes their evolution. They should start with secret domestic meetings of like-minded women and hold the special "Study Circle." However, this won't be a bed of roses. Even, their lives could be seriously jeopardised. They must remember that they would be crossing a bridge over Hell but they must keep going. I do realise that this struggle of women, by women, for women would be like "Live Hide Peeling"but this struggle has to be commenced. The way forward to conquer this anomaly lies in string minds and firm resolve.
