The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has said, “To sacrifice one’s comfort for the service of mankind is the best form of worship.”
In a statement on the occasion of Ashura Mr. Hussain appreciated the services rendered by MQM’s office bearers, elected representatives, MQM’s workers especially members of MQMs’ Medical Aid Committee for the mourners of Hussain (Azadaran-e-HUSSAIN (AS) across Pakistan, including Karachi.
Mr. Hussain said that MQM’s Rabita Committee, elected representatives, members of different wings and departments, members of MQM’s Zonal, Sector, Unit committees met with scholars of different schools of thoughts for the promotion of sectarian harmony. He added that they led the processions and established Sabeels and camps to provide medical services to Azadaran-e-HUSSAIN (AS). He said MQM’s workers, office bearers, workers, supporters deserves praise for their great work. He added that it has been the tradition of MQM to do such things during Ashura.
Mr. Hussain praised the armed forces, rangers and police for their security arrangements for the processions and Majlis gatherings across the country. He especially thanked them for the security arrangement in Sindh for the protection of people and services to mourners in the processions.
