A delegation of the Jang Publications Employees Union (CBA), led by its president Mr Shakeel Yameen Kanga, visited Khursheed Begum Secretariat on Friday and met member of the Co-ordination Committee and In-charge of the Information Department of the MQM Mr Wasay Jalil.
Other members of the delegation included Vice President Mr Abdur Razzaque, General Secretary Jameel Ahmed Khan, Treasurer Muhammad Hashim and members of the working committee of the union. Member of the Information Department of the MQM Mr Aminul Haque was also present on the occasion.
The delegation apprised Mr Jalil about the progress made on the implementation of the Wage Board Award in the Supreme Court and the implementation tribunal. The delegation thanked Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of the MQM, for raising an effective voice for workers belonging to the newspaper industry.
Mr Jalil said that Mr Hussain has always raised his voice on the problems being faced by the journalist community. He added that the MQM is the only political party that has played a positive role for solving the problems being faced by the journalists.
Mr Jalil listened to the submissions of the delegations and assured full cooperation.
