MQM to take part in LB polls from Balochistan

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Coordination Committee Member, Muhammad Yousuf Shahwani, said here on Tuesday that the MQM being the only representative party of poor and middle-income people would fully participate in the forthcoming local bodies elections from Balochistan as elsewhere in the country.
He was speaking at a crowded news conference at Quetta Press Club along with the MQM’s Balochistan organizing committee’s In-charge Abdul Khaliq Baloch, Central Executive Council’s Member Syed Saleem, advocate, Quetta Zone’s In-charge Arbab Abdul Ghani Kansi and members Muhammad Naeem Yousufzai and Mir Jehangir Shahwani.
Mr Shahwani, who also Member of Sindh Assembly, on this occasion exhorted the office-bearers and workers of MQM’s Balochistan Chapter to start preparations for the ensuing local bodies elections by making mass contact with the electorates, besides initiating door-to-door campaign.
He said that with the announcement of local bodies elections in Balochistan being held on party basis, the MQM had already completed its preparations and its office-bearers and workers were in touch with the masses.
He said that MQM’s history was full of sacrifices rendered by its workers had off and on proved that it firmly believed in Altaf Hussain’s philosophy of realism and wanted to completely eradicate  obsolete feudal system from the country.
Referring to the humanitarian services being rendered by MQM, Mr Shahwani said that the party’s Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation (KKF) had always provided relief goods among the victims of natural calamities across the country without any discrimination and in this regard he pointed out the KKF’s relief efforts undertaken in Balochistan’s Awaran district during recent earthquake.
At the outset, he appealed to the people of Balochistan belonging to different walks of life to cast their votes in the ensuing local government elections in favour of Haq Parast candidates so as to bring a positive change in the province.
