Altaf Hussain congratulates the people of Gilgit-Baltistan on their independence day.

The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has congratulated the people of Gilgit-Baltistan on their independence day. The people of Gilgit-Baltistan raised their voices against Dogra rule in 1947.  They offered supreme sacrifices for the liberation of their state. It was indeed an act of bravery.
On the On the occasion of Independence Day of Gilgit-Baltistan, he said in a special message that people of the area were still displaying their revolutionary courage and were adhered to their ideology. 
Mr. Hussain said that the people Gilgit-Baltistan had demonstrated tremendous perseverance and they deserved praised for this. He added that there was a relationship  of love between MQM and people of Gilgit-Baltistan. He added that people of the area had always supported MQM in their struggle. He assured the people that MQM would remain with them through thick and thin.
Mr. Hussain said that the government should respect the aspirations and sacrifices of the areas and grant Gilgit-Baltistan complete provincial autonomy. He urged the government to develop the areas and its communication system to attract tourists.
