LONDON.
January 31: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement's - or - MQM supremo Altaf Hussain has
strongly slammed the incumbent PMLN-led federal government in Pakistan for
leaving the people of Pakistan especially the people of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa on
mercy of the terrorists.
He had in
particular criticized the federal defense minister Khwaja Muhammed Asif for his
controversial statement as the minister had stated on media that it was a
promising sign that the people were producing protest rallies in condemnation
to the terrorist organisations but the minister didn't hold the armed forces
responsible for curbing the menace of terrorism.
The MQM
supremo also slammed a caretaker minister in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa who had said
that the government won't allow any terrorist group to operate in the country.
He questioned if the yesterday's suicide bombing was a result of his permission
as the minister uttered a foolish sentence that terrorist won't be allowed to
operate in the country.
He said that
the PMLN is enemy if Mohajirs because all military crackdowns against Mohajirs
were conducted under the government of the PMLN.
Hussain said
that it was the MQM that introduced a locality guarding concept under which the
people performed vigilance services on their own without any financial burden
on any government but it was the PMLN's government that debitage that concept
and today the incumbent PMLN-led federal government has left the port city of
Karachi on mercy of terrorists and gangs of criminals.
He raised
question on lapse of security because the terrorists penetrated the Police
Lines and wreaked havoc. Who shall take the responsibility, the people, the
martyred or country's armed forces because the terrorists butchering the
Pashtuns on daily basis.
The MQM
supremo lambasted the PMLN-led PDM federal government and the armed forces who
held the neighbouring Afghanistan as sole responsible for to the recent suicide
bombing in Police Lines.
It is worth
mentioning that a suicide bomber had blown him in a mosque in Peshawar Police
Line. The suicide bomber penetrated multi-layer security and walked through to
mosque and stood in the first row for the prayers. Subsequent to that suicide
bombing, at least 100 were dead while around 160 sustained serious injuries.
He expressed
complete solidarity with the aggrieved families.
