The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has paid great tributes to the martyrs of Sohrab Goth incident, which occurred on October 31, 1986. 
On the 27th anniversary of the martyrs of Sohrab Goth Mr. Hussaain said that the Sohrab Goth incident is one of the dark chapters of Pakistan’s history. On this day, a conspiracy was hatched to pit the permanent residents of Sindh against each other. For this purpose, MQM’s gatherings were attacked in Hyderabad and Karachi. As a result of these attacks scores of MQM workers died and wounded. 
Mr. Hussain said that Sohrab Goth incident occurred because MQM had held their first historical convention in Nishtar Park on August 8, 1986. Lakhs of people attended the convention. The massive gathering at the convention disturbed the oppressors of the people.  They tried to suppress the movement of freedom and justice by the bloodbath on October 31, 1986.
History is witness.  All the conspiracies hatched to stop the struggle for freedom and justice made MQM more powerful and helped the party to promote it ideology.  Today, MQM has able to spread its message across Pakistan because of the supreme sacrifices of its martyrs.  Negative propagandas have failed to damage MQM. Mr. Hussain prayed to Allah to grant them high places in paradise.
