MQM’s public image is being destroyed under the garb of operation against criminals and extortionists: MQM’s elected members of Sindh Assembly.

Muttahida Quami Movement’s Sindh Assembly members have strongly condemned the extrajudicial killings of Dilshad Ahmed Khan and Ajmal Beig,  raids on MQM’s workers and officers and illegal detention of workers. They said they did not know anything about their five workers picked up by the law enforcement agency 
In a joint statement elected representatives said that MQM’s public image is being destroyed under the garb of operation against criminals and extortionists. In order to discredit MQM’s leaders of good repute and integrity, they have registered false and fabricated cases against them. MQM’s name was linked to the Muhajir Republican Army. Workers are being arrested and detained  and subjected to inhuman torture. Inhuman torture has caused the deaths of Dilshad Ahmed Khan and Ajmal Beg  and disabled scores of workers. They added that MQM was the sole representative of Karachi and it has the complete support of the people. Why does the Sindh government want to give the impression by targeting MQM instead of the criminals that it is responsible for the disturbance in the city? 
Haq Parast elected representatives of Sindh assembly said that MQM had the complete support of the people and they knew all the facts. They added that MQM had faced state repression in the past, in which thousands of its workers were killed. They said that the state repression could not stop them fighting against repression and injustice in the country.
They deplored that the Sindh Government and law enforcement agencies have started political victimization of the party. They are displaying strong political bias and hatred against MQM.  They said they wer not only hurting the people of Karachi with their unconstitutional measures but also hurting Pakistan and Pakistan. Their actions are highly condemnable. 
Haq Parast elected representatives expressed their heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families of Dilshad Ahmed Khan and Ajmal Beg and prayed to Allah to grant them high places in the paradise and urged them to remain calm and composed. 
They have demanded  that the chief justice of Pakistan should take notice of the martyrdom of the Dilshad and Ajmal and order an investigation. They have also demanded that the president, prime minister and federal Interior minister should take action against the people responsible for the extrajudicial killings and inhuman torture on MQM’s workers.  They said that the operations should be restricted to criminals and extortionists.
