Haq Parast Senators termed Dilshad Ahmed Khan’s death an extrajudicial execution and a grave violation of the constitution.
Posted on: 10/29/2013
MQM’s Senators have expressed condemnation of the death of MQM’s former unit in-charge Dilshad Ahmed Khan. He had been brutally tortured in detention, which caused his tragic death. The Haq Parast Senators termed his death an extrajudicial execution and a grave violation of the constitution.
They added his death indicates that the government of Sindh was violating MQM’s legitimate political, democratic and constitutional rights.
In a joint statement MQM’s senators deplored that the Sindh government was targeting MQM, which has always pursued positive politics, under the garb of operation against criminals, extortionists and killers. They have termed their action as political victimization. They added that extrajudicial killing of Dilshad Ahmed and disappearance of MQM’s eight workers proved MQM’s reservation and concerns true. Now it is clear once against state repression has started like in the past to push MQM to the wall. Since the inception of the target operation in the city MQM’s innocent workers and officer bearers are being arrested as if they are the hardened criminals and terrorists. The bitter truth is that who have responsible for deteriorating law and order in the city are still a challenge for the law enforcement agencies.
MQM’s senators deplored that the Sindh government in collusion with the law enforcement agencies were brutally targeting MQM’s workers. They made it clear that MQM would continue its peaceful democratic, constitutional and legal struggle against the oppression. They warned that people who are repressing MQM and its workers should remember that MQM’s devoted, loyal and faithful workers have confronted atrocities in the part with courage. Repressive tactics will not be able to frighten MQM’s workers.
Haq parast Senators expressed their heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family of the martyred Dilshad Ahmed Khan and prayed to Allah to grant high place in paradise to him. They urged the family members to remain calm and composed.
They appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the brutal death of Dilshad Ahmed caused by inhuman torture in detention. They also urged him to help them in the recovery of MQM’s eight disappeared workers.
The senators demanded that the president and prime minister stop the victimization of MQM and its workers. They urged them to take action against anti-democratic elements who were targeting MQM immediately.
