OUTGOING ITALIAN AMBASSADOR VISITS NINE ZERO

The outgoing ambassador of Italy Mr Vincenzo Prati paid a farewell visit to the MQM Head Office Nine Zero on Saturday. He was accompanied by Mr Roberto Franceschinis, the counsel general of Italy in Karachi and Dr Federico Bianchi, first secretary of economic and commercial affairs.
The guests were welcomed by Mrs Nasrin Jalil, Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee. Members of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Saleem Shahzad, Mr Kunwar Khalid Yunus and Provincial Minister Khalid Bin Walayat were also present on the occasion.
Mr Prati described the Italian Prime Minister Mr Carlo Ponti has an architect of the Italian economy who steered his country out of the current economic crisis gripping Europe. He praised Mr Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of the MQM, for running the party affairs successfully.
Mr Prati told the Co-ordination Committee that Italy was willing to help Pakistan in Hydroelectric projects for easing power crisis in the country.
Members of the Italian delegation were presented the pictorial biography of Mr Altaf Hussain in the end.
