World should take notice of Imran Khan's statement as he declares Osama Bin Laden a martyred hero: Altaf Hussain
Muttahidda Qaumi Movement's (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain has asked the Presidents and Prime Ministers of the United States, Britain, Canada, Germany and other European countries to take serious note of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan's declaration of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden as a martyred hero. Pakistan's PM has held OBL in high esteem after declaring him hero whom the US marines had martyred in an ambush. The international community should be serious on what Pakistan's PM has asserted.
OBL was most wanted international terrorist who committed terrorism around the world but Pakistani PM Imran Khan declares him a hero and hence the world leaders should reconsider their relationship with PM Imran Khan and Pakistan as the PM Imran Khan represents the terror exporting counting in East Asia.
He said this in his exigent address yesterday.
Hussain said that the whole world knows that Al-Qaeda is an international terrorist organization which has carried out terrorist attacks all over the world by the OBL - Osama Bin Laden, the leader of Al-Qaeda.
The whole world, including the President of the United States, wanted him, but the Pakistani army not only sheltered him in the country's military academy, but also built a fortified house near the army's Kakul Military Academy in Abbott's bad where OBL had lived for years.
It was not a secret to the whole world that OBL was hiding in Pakistan under iron sheilfed safe haven in close vicinity of Kakul, the military academy of Pakistan. However, Pakistani establishment and the Pakistani government kept on rejecting the presence of OBL in Pakistan.
When OBL's death was ensured to the world after a surgical US Marines operation, it was revealed to the world that OBL had been living in Abbottabad for many years. He said that many religious and political leaders in Pakistan have openly supported OBL, Al Qaeda and Taliban terrorists and Pakistan's PM Imran Khan is one of them. Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan also addressed on the floor of the National Assembly. He called him a "martyred hero" and expressed his respect for him.
The MQM Chief said that the US, UK, EU and the entire civilised world had fought against terrorism for many years but Imran Khan was declaring OBL a martyred hero.
He said that the presidents and PMs of the US, UK, Canada, Germany and other EU countries should take serious note of Imran Khan's statement.
Hussain said that he had first explained to the people the fact that Talibanisation was taking place in the country and the Talibans were formed by the military establishment of Pakistan.
He said his followers were convinced but the political and religious parties established by the military establishment and those working on its payroll continued to support terrorist organisations.
Taliban carried out open terror operations across the country, including Karachi, extorting money in billions in ransom from traders, industrialists and shopkeepers in Karachi and conducting open transactions with banks.
They carried out bombings, suicide attacks on mosques and imambargahs in all cities of Pakistan and even captured the army headquarters GHQ, but the army and the jihadi madrassas that produced them who did terrorism in the name of jihad. No action was taken against the rioting mullahs (clerics).
Terrorist Ehsanullah Ehsan, who claimed responsibility for the massacre of hundreds of innocent children and teachers at Army Public Schools in Peshawar and hundreds of terrorist incidents across the country was instead of execution under the law was portrayed as poet-writer through an anchor working on mitary's payroll.
Ehsan has escaped from the captivity of the army while the sad fact is that the body of a detainee is either recovered from the custody of the army or comes out as disabled.
He said that no prisoner can escape from the captivity of the army, no matter how powerful he may be. In fact, the detention and release of Ehsan was part of a deal that proved that Taliban are equally complicit in the massacre across the country.
Hussain said that Pakistan's army is basically a mercenary army that goes around the world to kill people for the interests and wealth of the great powers. The army fired on the Ka'aba, massacred thousands of Palestinians in Jordan. Goes to Somalia and kills Muslims there and now it is killing the oppressed Muslims there in Yemen.
He said that 92 percent of Pakistan's army is Punjabi. It is not Pakistan's national army but the Punjabi army. This Punjabi army has occupied Sindh, Balouchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, tribal areas, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Cholistan. The state is squandering its resources and killing Sindhis, Mihajirs, Balouchs, Pashtuns, Gilgitis Baltistanis and other oppressed peoples who are fighting for their rights. The state is crushing them.
He appealed to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the Presidents and PMs of all South Asian countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Germany and all EU countries, and India, to believe in human rights, equality and justice without discrimination. Review the plight of Mihajirs, Sindhis, Balouchs, Pashtuns, people of Gilgit-Baltistan and all oppressed nations in Pakistan, take note of the atrocities, abuses and disenfranchisement of the Punjabi establishment with them and review relations with Pakistan and refrain from helping Pakistan in the name of coronavirus through the IMF, World Bank, Asian Development Bank.
Hussain said that non-Punjabis are not included in the army, security forces. In Pakistan only Punjabis are considered patriotic and high class citizens while all other non-Punjabi entities are considered second and third class citizens. They are being treated like slaves and those who speak out against this cruel treatment are being crushed by state power.
In Karachi and Hyderabad, the legitimate shops and houses of the migrants, which had been in existence for 70 years, were declared illegal and their homes and shops were demolished.
He called on Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and UN human rights organisations to send representatives to Pakistan to investigate human rights abuses.
He said that today not only in the US but all over the world black people are protesting against racist abuses and bigotry but nowhere is it the case that the army has fired on the protesters. But in Pakistan Punjabi army is targeting the people of the oppressed nation who were protesting peacefully. Balouch students were abused, beaten, stripped of their scarves and pushed into police mobiles. Due to such state atrocities and racist treatment, the people of Sindh, Balouchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan now want independence from Pakistan.
He said that it was not a sin or a crime to demand freedom for the sake of survival, rights and dignity and sovereignty but the right of all oppressed per the Charter of the UN.
He asked if there had been a two-point referendum on the secession of Scotland in Britain. Had Canada not held a referendum on the independence of the province of Quebec?
If the people of Sindh and Balouchistan and other oppressed nations talk of freedom, how can it be illegal? Therefore, in Sindh and Balouchistan, the people should be asked through a referendum whether they want to stay with Pakistan or not.
He said that he is determined that he will not cease to struggle until Sindh and Balouchistan become independent. We will continue to support them morally and will continue to raise our voice for them.
