Pak-Britain Land Reforms Forum team calls on MQM leader

A four-member delegation of Pakistan-Britain Land Reforms Forum on Wednesday called on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Parliamentary party leader in the National Assembly, Dr Farooq Sattar, praising and endorsing the MQM’s land reforms bill presented in House.
The delegation led by Momin Khan Momin which met the MQM leader at Khurseed Begum Secretariat, located adjacent to Muttahida `Nine Zero’, also discussed political, economic and other matters of mutual interest. Members of the delegation as well as MQM leader emphasized the need for having more and more such mutual contacts.
In his welcome speech, Dr Sattar informed the delegation that the MQM being the only representative party of poor and middle-income people had been struggling for the abolition of obsolete feudal system for the last 29 years and it was because of this the party was off and on subjected to oppression and suppression through conspiracies in the past and even today it was being victimized.
He said that the MQM since its inception wanted that land reforms laws should be implemented across the country so that the poor farmers could get rid of feudal and their oppressive system.
The other members of Pakistan-Britain Land Reforms Forum who attended the meeting were Zafar Iqbal, Naushad Chandi and Ms Zainab, while the MQM’s national and provincial legislators present on the occasion were Farhat Khan, Waseem, Aamir Moin Pirzada and Kamran Akhtar. Ends…
