MQM CCC
WELCOMES, DECLARES DISCUSSION BETWEEN ALTAF, BURFAT AS PLEASANT
LONDON. Oct
9, 2019: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Central Coordination Committee (CCC)
said that the discussion between the MQM founder and leader Mr Altaf Hussain
and Jeay Sindh Muttahidda Mahaz’s (JSMM) Chairman Shafi Muhammad Burfat was
very inspiring and the Committee declared the discussion was very fruitful and
pleasant.
Mr Hussain
and Mr Burfat had exchanged views over issues that continue to hover around
Sindh, Pakistan and special circumstances that pertain to international
affairs.
It said that
the Punjabi establishment has since decades kept Sindh as one of its colonies
and the people of Sindh have lived since decades as slaves of the Punjabi
establishment. There is time now for the two nations – Mohajirs and Sindhis –
to rise against the tyrant dominance of the Punjabi establishment as under
strict and strong unity between the two nations.
It said that
the Punjabi establishment has used all notorious tactics to suppress voices for
rights from Sindh under state’s aegis.
The CCC said
that though there are millions of Mohajirs who live on soil of Sindh but they
are the sheer victims of utter discrimination. Mohajirs have lived in Sindh and
would continue to live here because they have all their interests nowhere
except Sindh soil. Houses of Mohajirs and graves of their ancestors are all in
Sindh and what they grow is only for Sindh. Therefore, Mohajirs have equal
right and share over Sindh’s resources.
It said that
there is dire need of unity between Mohajirs and Sindhis, to eliminate discrimination
against them and allow them to have their equal rights as equal citizens and
these have to be addressed without fail and for the larger interest of soil of
Sindh.
It welcomed
Mr Burfat’s declaration on universally recognised status of Mr Hussain as
unavoidable and unanimous politician.
It also
thanked Mr Burfat over slamming the Punjabi Military Establishment for placing
Mr Hussain under an unlawful embargo in Pakistan and for his appeal to the
international organisations for taking serious notice of that embargo.
The CCC said
that the time is now for united struggle against the oppression and hoped that
the moderate Sindhis would come forward to promote the harmony between the two
nations – Mohajirs and Sindhis.
