MQM SEES
WELL-KNITTED CONSPIRACY IN ASSASSINATION OF ALI RAZA ABIDI
Slain
Ali Raza Abidi was very vocal and feared none while making statements and
giving written expressions and hence he was unbearable for the military
establishment –Dr Nadeem Ehsan
LONDON. Dec 25, 2018: Muttahidda
Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee Convener Dr Nadeem Ehsan, Deputy
Convener Mr. Qasim Ali Raza and members have vehemently condemned the cold
blooded assassination of MQM former member national assembly (MNA) Syed Ali
Raza Abidi. The committee has called his murder a deep conspiracy and a big
tragedy, as well.
In a joint statement, it said
that though the slain Abidi had parted ways with the Movement but he was very
vocal and never hesitated in expressing his thoughts and views through social
media and hence the military establishment had always taken him an open
challenger.
It said that he was shot down at
the doorstep of his home in DHA, Karachi and his brutal assassination has
deeply saddened everyone in the Movement.
The Convener Dr Ehsan said that a
sudden wave of terrorism has risen in the port city of Karachi and it is
evident from the terror incidents with short break are part of a well-knitted
plot of the military establishment under which the armed forces would find an excuse
for accelerating the pace of ongoing genocidal crackdown in Karachi against the
Movement.
He said that this is not just
sheer speculation but the well-knitted plot of the military establishment has
already been exposed as the military intelligence authorities are at one hand
intimidating many high profile political and non-political personalities while
at the other, they are pulling out the security of those under serious threats
and the slain Abidi was one such fateful.
The cold blooded assassination of
Abidi is part of serial executions of the Mohajirs in Karachi at the hands of
the armed forces, which was revived in 2013, Dr Ehsan and members of the
committee said, adding, the cold blooded assassination of Abidi has to be
deeply investigated and those involved in that heinous crime must be taken to
task.
Dr Ehsan and members of the
committee expressed complete solidarity with the bereaved family of slain Abidi
and said that his assassination was a deep agonising incident that has saddened
all in the Movement.
They prayed for the departed soul
of the slain Abidi for resting n highest abode in heaven and also prayed to the
Almighty Allah for courage for the bereaved family to bear that irreparable
loss.
