LONDON. Dec 7, 2018: Muttahidda
Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that the ongoing
campaign of demolishing shops, take-away stalls and homes of the people of
Karachi is part of “Greater Punjab Plan.” The Greater Punjab Plan is designed
by the establishment to render the port city of Karachi a Satellite Colony of
Punjab.
Mr. Hussain expressed these views
while talking to a delegation of elders.
He said that it is a universal law
that the authorities make sure smooth switching and shifting over of the
affected and immediate replacements are made prior to carrying out the
demolition plan. Unfortunately, the government is depriving the citizens of
their decades old properties on orders of country’s Supreme Court’s Chief
Justice Mian Saquib Nisar, which is not only very sad but also condemnable.
Mr. Husain said, “The authorities
are rendering Mohajirs homeless and jobless.” The establishment is in hurry for
implementing their notorious agenda of placing the property of Mohajirs under
control of Paramilitary Rangers”.
He said that the numbers have exceedingly
multiplied in Karachi. Paramilitary Rangers have during past three decades
illegally occupied parks and playgrounds, mosques and sports arenas and
multiple residential buildings in Karachi.
“Mohajirs are in particular victims
of state’s demolition plans”
The Movement’s Chief said that it
is, in addition, a matter of serious concern that traitors whom the military
establishment created in Movement’s ranks and files are part of Greater Punjab
Plan and they have become puppets of the establishment and hence the establishment
is facing no resistance.
He also said that the opening of
Kartarpur Corridor in the disguise of facilitating the Sikh pilgrims is also
part of Greater Punjab plan.
He asked Mohajirs whether they are
ready to become slaves of the Punjab or would they choose to live with freedom
and dignity and if they choose the later then they would join the struggle for
the rights of Mohajirs.
Mr. Hussain urged the Mohajir youth
to come forward and join the Movement for their brighter and safer future and
once the youth would come forward; no force in the world would be able to
enslave them, usurp their rights and curb their freedom.
