Body to monitor targeted operation to be set up after Eid-ul-Azha: Interior Minister

Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan assured on Tuesday the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Parliamentary Party Leader in the National Assembly Dr Farooq Sattar that a monitoring team would be set up shortly Eid-ul-Azha so as to ensure that no injustice is done in the on-going targeted operation in Karachi.
The Federal Interior Minister, who rang up the MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar shortly after the latter’s press briefing at Karachi Airport, said that he would visit Karachi soon after Eid-ul-Azha and a monitoring team which was pledged earlier would be formed to check the complaints of partiality and injustices being done in the ongoing targeted operation.
Dr Farooq Sattar apprised the Interior Minister about the MQM’s three workers who after being arrested during the ongoing targeted operation went missing.
When the MQM leader expressed his reservation over the targeted operation, the Interior Minister assured him that kidnapping, injustices and any sort of oppression would not be tolerated during the targeted operation and the government would use all its resources for the recovery of missing persons.
